Here I give you the introduction to this blog, its purpose.

My wife and I enjoy a good grape from time to time. There is an elegance to enjoying the finest beverage concoctions the world has to offer, a challenge to arranging foods and fermented juice to match, and a pleasure to letting an array of flavors cascade over the tongue, trying to catch each elusive wisp of taste while stepping back and observing the entire bouquet - in short, the world of wine.

An idea posited to us while enjoying a vineyard tour one afternoon was that of the Century Club: those elite few who have managed to find and enjoy the wine of a hundred different grape varietals. In the hopes of one day joining this august assemblage, we present here our entries to this field. Some will be reviewed, some will simply be noted. In this journey, getting there is more than half the fun.
